It is located near the borders of California and Mexico. Flagstaff is the largest city in northern Arizona.

Software development and computers are the largest high tech segment, followed by electronics components manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, architectural and engineering services, telecommunications, and instruments manufacturing. Boeing, Honeywell and General Dynamics have operations there.
