There is truly something for everyone to enjoy in Michigan. Because of Michigan’s location on the Great Lakes, outdoor sports abound with fishing, boating, swimming and other water sports. The interior sections of the state offer natural wonders of forests and hunting areas. Of course, the metropolitan areas are filled with cultural and entertainment venues, especially Detroit which offers casino gambling. Some of the major attractions include Mackinac Island, The Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, the Gerald R. Ford Museum, Kalamazoo Nature Center, Sleepy Hollow State Park and the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge. Professional sports are well represented in Michigan with the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Pistons.
