Slayton House has a triple vault,poured-in-place concrete roof;front & rear elevations are glass, resulting in a house largely transparent. It is a very rare example of a residence designed by I.M.Pei & Assoc. for which they received a 1964 Record Hse. award from Architectural Record magazine. In 2001,architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen was commissioned to enhance the original concept-it is a work of art.
