For such a small state, Maryland seems to have a little bit of everything for tourists and residents alike. The Eastern shore has miles of family-friendly beaches near famous Ocean City. Other parts of the state are blessed with spectacular mountain vistas and pathways to American history. Of course those who prefer nightlife can spend some time in the culture-rich central portion of the state. Maryland is also home to some professional sports teams including the Baltimore Orioles MLB team, the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens, both NFL football teams.
