Georgia Real Estate Trends - A New Way to Look at Georgia Realty

Georgia Real Estate

Average home prices appear to be trending upwards in the Georgia real estate market. While the average single family home was listed at $230,000 in January, the 484 new homes listed in March helped raise that average to $250,000. In the condo/townhouse market there were 153 new units for sale last month and the average price jumped from $145,000 in January to $164,000 in March. Whether this is a seasonal effect or a sign of sunnier times ahead isn't clear yet, Georgia real estate remains favorable to buyers and there are great deals available all over the state.

The market for Georgia waterfront properties remains strong and the options varied. Here are the average list prices for waterfront listings in March:

  • Single Family: $645,000
  • Condo/Townhome: $278,000
  • Mobile/Manufactured: $157,000
  • Rental Property: $2,037
  • While the average price for a waterfront rental is certainly above the national average, don't let it scare you away. That includes options for every budget - from charming 750 square foot studios to a glamorous three acre executive retreats for just under $5,000 a month.
