Airport, Honolulu

The neighborhood of Airport is situated within the city of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Airport is a wonderful area for those who aren't bothered by a little noise, since traffic can occasionally be loud during busy hours. It is sometimes challenging to access parks in the neighborhood since they aren't well-spread out. Despite that, there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to check out.

The predominant housing types in Airport are single detached homes and townhouses. This area experienced its latest housing boom since the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era. This part of Honolulu has quite a good selection of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Renters occupy around all of the properties in Airport whereas owners occupy the remainder.

It is convenient to access the nearest supermarket on foot from most properties for sale in this area. Furthermore, this area is a good place in which to go out to eat, and a limited selection of coffee shops is available as well. With respect to education, in Airport, residents will typically be able to get to primary as well as high schools by walking. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.

Airport is very car friendly. Nearby highways, such as Lunalilo Freeway, are very easy to drive to from anywhere in this part of Honolulu, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit network in Airport is rather poor. Thankfully, the neighborhood is connected by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. Traveling on foot is not very convenient for residents in Airport since carrying out daily needs is occasionally difficult.
