Amercrest, Columbus

The neighborhood of Amercrest is located in the city of Columbus, Ohio.

Amercrest offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. Most areas in this part of the city are quiet, as the streets tend to be calm - although there are still several noisier sections, especially close to the railway line. Finally, accessing green spaces in the neighborhood, like Maloney Park, is easy since there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in.

Home owners occupy roughly three quarters of the units in the neighborhood whereas renters occupy the remainder. The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighborhood is an important part of its character. Roughly half of the properties in this area were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 2000s. This area also has quite a good choice of housing sizes - homes range from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Home owners will appreciate that no matter where their house is situated in Amercrest, secondary schools are close by. In contrast, there are no primary schools in this neighborhood. With regards to eating, home buyers in Amercrest commonly have to rely on a vehicle to do their grocery shopping. There are also a limited number of options for those who cherish restaurants within walking distance.

Commuting by car is especially convenient in Amercrest. Many houses for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, and accessing a parking spot is generally easy. However, Amercrest is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually very close. It is occasionally challenging for people traveling on foot to navigate this part of Columbus because few daily needs can be carried out without having to resort to a car.
