Although the neighborhood does not contain any parks, green spaces are especially well-spread out in nearby neighborhoods, resulting in them being easy to reach from the majority of locations in the neighborhood. Lastly, this part of Atlanta is a good area for those who don't mind some noise, as traffic can occasionally be loud during rush hour, although that is not always the case in the neighborhood.

The substantial proportion of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of this part of the city is an important part of its character. This neighborhood experienced its main housing boom since the year 2000, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This part of Atlanta is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes.

Atlantic Station is home to a good public transit system. In particular, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighborhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. A car is also an excellent transportation option in this part of the city. It is a very short car ride to the closest highway, such as Interstate 85, from any home in Atlantic Station, and finding a parking spot is easy.
