The city of Aventura, Florida is situated in the Miami metropolitan area.

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Aventura, despite its sometimes busy feel. Public green spaces, like East Greynolds Park, are very well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, resulting in them being easy to access from the majority of locations within the city. As there are few pedestrians, this part of the Miami metropolitan area is relatively quiet, although there can be more noise for those who are around the railway line.

The predominance of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of Aventura is an important part of its character. Around 30% of homes in this city were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1990s. This part of the Miami metropolitan area also has quite a good choice of unit sizes; houses range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around two thirds of the properties in the city are occupied by home owners and one third are occupied by renters.

House buyers in Aventura will appreciate that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away. Moreover, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a small selection of coffee shops is available as well. House buyers have access to a good number of nearby clothing stores. When it comes to education, it is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools from any location in Aventura. On the other hand, there are only a limited number of high schools and accordingly they can be a rather long walk away. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools.

Aventura is reasonably conducive to walking; running common errands is convenient, and there are also a fair number of businesses nearby. The public transit service in Aventura is not very frequent. Nevertheless, residents are served by approximately 10 bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, this city is a very good part of the Miami metropolitan area for driving. It is convenient to park.
