The character of Bolton Hills is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. This part of the city is quiet overall, as the streets are usually peaceful. Finally, although Bolton Hills does not contain any public green spaces, parks are especially well-situated in nearby neighborhoods, which makes it easy to access them.

The majority of the housing stock of Bolton Hills is composed of large apartment buildings and single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly townhouses. The median year of construction for dwellings in this neighborhood is 1979. This neighborhood has a variety of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About three quarters of the dwellings in the neighborhood are occupied by renters and one quarter are occupied by owners.

Primary schools are convenient to get to on foot from most homes for sale in this area. On the other hand, Bolton Hills does not have any high schools. When it comes to eating, in all but a limited number of cases, a vehicle is needed purchase groceries.
