Brentwood, Jacksonville

The neighborhood of Brentwood is located in the city of Jacksonville, Florida.

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Brentwood. It is easy to reach green spaces from the majority of locations in the neighborhood since there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in. This area remains relatively quiet, as there are few people out and about on the streets, although there can be higher levels of noise for those who are near Interstate 95 or one of the railway lines.

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing many of the dwellings in Brentwood, and the rest of the houses are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. A majority of the housing growth in this neighborhood occurred before the 1960s. This area has a variety of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around 55% of the units in the neighborhood are occupied by renters while the rest are occupied by owners.

In Brentwood, locals will usually be able to get to both primary and secondary schools by walking. Residents benefit from public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. Regarding food, house buyers in this part of the city will value that a grocery store is always only a very short walk away. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.

Brentwood is a fairly convenient part of Jacksonville for pedestrians; many daily errands can be run on foot. The public transit service in this neighborhood is not very frequent. Nonetheless, home owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. In contrast, a car is a great medium of transportation in this part of Jacksonville. Parking is easy, and most real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Interstate 95.
