People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Broadmoor. This neighborhood is quiet overall, as the streets are generally reasonably tranquil. Lastly, there is a fair amount of greenery in this part of the city; accessing public green spaces is very easy from most locations in neighborhood, since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore and the majority of houses have a park a short walk away. In addition, residents will find that most streets have reasonably good tree coverage.
The predominant housing types in Broadmoor are single detached homes and row houses. This neighborhood has quite a good choice of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around 85% of the dwellings in the neighborhood are occupied by home owners and 15% are occupied by renters. This area experienced its most significant housing boom pre-1960, so most of the available properties are from this time period.
Some, but not all, property owners in this part of Seattle will live within walking distance of the nearest grocery store. On the other hand, Broadmoor is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat. With respect to education, this area does not contain any high schools or primary schools.
Broadmoor is especially car friendly. Most properties for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, and parking is easy. Residents can also rely on public transit to navigate Broadmoor as a result of a few nearby bus lines. Traveling by foot is not very common in this area, although many daily errands can be run without the use of a car.
