Located within the Dallas - Fort Worth - Arlington metropolitan area, Chandler Heights is a neighborhood in Garland, Texas.

The character of Chandler Heights is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. This neighborhood is very quiet overall, as the streets are usually very calm. Lastly, the greenery in this part of the city is not prominent; although, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, including Glenbrook Parkway, and they are very well-situated, making them easy to access from most locations in Chandler Heights.

Around three quarters of the properties in the neighborhood are occupied by renters and one quarter are occupied by owners. In this area, about 55% of the dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This area experienced its biggest housing boom pre-1960, so most of the available homes are from this era. This part of Garland has quite a good variety of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

It is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools from most properties for sale in this part of the city. On the other hand, this area does not contain any high schools. Regarding eating, a supermarket is usually reachable within a very short walk from anywhere in this part of the city. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.

The preferred method to get around in Chandler Heights is often a car. It is convenient to park. However, the public transit system in Chandler Heights is not very practical. Thankfully, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. Traveling by foot in this part of the cityis not very common, despite the fact that many daily needs can be met without the use of a car.
