East Forest is a reasonably good neighborhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm environment. Green spaces, including James Boyce Park and Mason Wallace Park, are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to visit, which makes them easy to reach. This part of Charlotte is also good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are usually reasonably tranquil - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially near the railway line.
