The neighborhood of Echo Highlands is situated within the city of Birmingham, Alabama.

Most areas in Echo Highlands are very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. It is rather difficult to reach parks in the neighborhood since they aren't well-located. Despite that, there are a few parks nearby for residents to explore.

In Echo Highlands, many of the dwellings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. The median year of construction for properties in this area is 1980. This part of the city offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Home owners occupy around 70% of the properties in the neighborhood whereas the rest are rented.

It is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools from most properties for sale in Echo Highlands. In contrast, it can be challenging to reach high schools on foot. This part of the city is not very suitable for traveling on foot since very few daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a car.
