Edgewater is a fairly good borough to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. It is easy to reach public green spaces and there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in. This borough is also reasonably good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic.

The majority of the dwellings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Edgewater, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings.
