It is easy to get to parks from the majority of locations within the neighborhood since there are a few of them close by for residents to explore. Thanks to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this neighborhood remains relatively quiet; however those who are around one of the railway lines, US Highway 85 or Interstate 70 may experience more noise.

Elyria Swansea experienced its biggest housing boom prior to the 1960s, so most of the available properties are from this era. The main housing types in this neighborhood are single detached homes and townhouses. Around 60% of the dwellings in the neighborhood are occupied by renters and 40% are occupied by owners. This area has quite a good variety of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

The closest grocery store in this area is generally only a short walk away. There are also around 10 restaurants and coffee shops in this part of the city. In terms of education, residents will find that no matter where their property is located in this neighborhood, primary schools are nearby. However, Elyria Swansea does not have any high schools.

In contrast, Elyria Swansea is not an especially pleasant part of Denver for traveling by public transit. Walking in Elyria Swansea is not very popular, despite the fact that many common errands can be run without needing to use a car.
