High Point, Atlanta

High Point is a neighborhood within Atlanta, Georgia.

There is a wide selection of green spaces in High Point. Most locations within the neighborhood have fairly good access to public green spaces, like A Langford Memorial Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to enjoy. As there are few pedestrians, this part of Atlanta remains relatively quiet; however there can be higher levels of noise for those who are around the railway line or Interstate 85.

In High Point, about half of the dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and duplexes. The average year of construction for dwellings in this neighborhood is 1985. This part of the city has quite a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Around 70% of the properties in the neighborhood are occupied by renters whereas owners occupy the remainder.

It is generally an option for home buyers in this part of Atlanta to do their groceries by walking. With regards to education, it is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools from most properties for sale in High Point. In contrast, this part of Atlanta does not have any high schools.

Moving around by car is very convenient in this part of the city. Finding a place to park is easy, and most houses for sale are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Interstate 85. On the other hand, High Point is not an especially convenient part of Atlanta for moving around by public transit. Nevertheless, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically close by. Traveling by foot is not very popular in this part of the city, even though many daily needs can be met by walking.
