Hoffman Estates is a village located in the Chicago metropolitan area, which is part of Illinois, United States.

People who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Hoffman Estates. This village is reasonably quiet, as the streets tend to be tranquil - although there are still several noisier areas, especially closer to the railway line, Interstate 90 or Northwest Tollway. Finally, getting to public green spaces in the village, such as High Point Park and Willow Park, is easy, since there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to check out, such as Paul Douglas Forest Preserve and Lincoln Park.

Home owners occupy roughly three quarters of the units in the village whereas the remainder are rented. In this part of the Chicago metropolitan area, most of the dwellings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this village took place in the 1960s and 1970s. This village offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
