Kenwood is a neighborhood within Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Kenwood offers a calm ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of Minneapolis is reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. Lastly, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, such as Kenwood Park and Minneapolis Chain of Lakes Regional Park, and they are very well-situated, making them very easy to access.

In Kenwood, about 60% of buildings are single detached homes, and the remaining dwellings are mainly duplexes and townhouses. This part of the city has quite a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Home owners occupy about three quarters of the properties in the neighborhood whereas renters occupy the remainder. This neighborhood experienced its biggest housing boom before the 1960s, so most of the available housing is from this time period.

It is a reasonably short walk to reach primary schools from most houses for sale in this neighborhood. In contrast, Kenwood does not have any high schools. With regards to eating, the nearest grocery store in Kenwood is typically only a short walk away. Additionally, there is commonly a restaurant or cafe in close proximity.

Kenwood is reasonably suitable for walking; running day-to-day errands is convenient on foot, and plenty of businesses are quite close by. This part of the city is not particularly transit friendly. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. On the other hand, Kenwood is an extraordinarily good part of Minneapolis for getting around by car. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as US Highway 12, and accessing a parking spot is quite easy.
