Marshall Park, Portland

The neighborhood of Marshall Park is located within the city of Portland, Oregon.

The character of Marshall Park is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. It is easy to reach public green spaces from many locations in the neighborhood since there are a few of them close by for residents to relax in. The noise levels in this part of the city are also very low, as the streets are very tranquil.

About one third of properties in Marshall Park were constructed before the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. The substantial percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. Roughly 85% of the population of this neighborhood own their home while the remainder are renters. This area also has a variety of housing size options; it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

A fraction of property owners in this part of Portland may be able to access the nearest supermarket on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle. In terms of education, it is a reasonably short walk to get to primary schools from most houses for sale in Marshall Park. In contrast, there are no high schools in this area.

The best way to navigate this area is usually a car. Many houses for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, and it is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, this part of Portland is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. This area is not very suitable for walking since carrying out daily needs is inconvenient.
