The neighborhood of New Center is located within the city of Detroit, Michigan.

New Center remains relatively quiet, thanks to the presence of few pedestrians, although those who are closer to one of the railway lines or John C Lodge Freeway may experience higher levels of noise. It is sometimes challenging to access parks since they aren't well-located. Still, there are a few public green spaces close by for residents to relax in.

Many of the dwellings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in New Center, while townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Coming across a place to park is easy, and it is a very short car ride to the closest highway, such as John C Lodge Freeway, from any location in this area.
