New Utrecht is a great neighborhood for home buyers who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Finding energetic places is very easy in this area. Even though this part of New York is not known for its nightlife, there are a very large number of people around most of the time. This neighborhood also features a small amount of greenery; to be more specific, residents will find that the tree canopy coverage for a lot of streets is below average. However, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to discover, which results in them being very easy to get to from most locations in New Utrecht.

The majority of the housing stock of New Utrecht consists of duplexes and small apartment buildings, and the rest of the properties are mainly townhouses. The population residing in this part of New York is evenly split between renters and owners. However, a car is a rather limited transportation option in New Utrecht. Nonetheless, many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway.
