Nor Este, Albuquerque

The neighborhood of Nor Este is situated within the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Home buyers who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Nor Este. Public green spaces, such as North Domingo Baca Park, are very well-distributed and there are a few of them close by for residents to relax in, making it easy to reach them. Most areas in this part of Albuquerque are quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor - although there are still several noisier sections, especially closer to Pan American Freeway.

Nor Este experienced its latest housing boom since the year 2000, so most of the available housing is from this time period. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. Around 80% of the dwellings in the neighborhood are occupied by home owners while the rest are rented. This area also has quite a good variety of housing sizes; properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Some property owners in Nor Este may be able to travel to the nearest grocery store on foot, while others will have to rely on a vehicle. There are also a few options for those who care about close by restaurants and cafes. With regards to education, residents will welcome that no matter where their property is located in this neighborhood, both primary and secondary schools are nearby.

The preferred method to move around in this part of Albuquerque is very often a car. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as Pan American Freeway. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is very hard in Nor Este. Thankfully, the neighborhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most houses are close to a bus stop.
