North Buckhead offers a wide selection of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant ambience. Parks, including Blue Heron Nature Preserve, are especially well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in, making it easy to reach them. As there are few people out and about on the streets, this part of Atlanta is relatively quiet; however.

Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing around half of the dwellings in North Buckhead, while the rest are mainly single detached homes and townhouses. This neighborhood did not experience a single housing boom; the construction of new homes in the neighborhood is spread throughout multiple decades in recent history. This part of Atlanta also has a good selection of housing sizes - properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Home owners occupy around three quarters of the units in North Buckhead whereas the rest are rented.

It is easy to reach the closest supermarket on foot from most properties for sale in North Buckhead. Roswell Road is among the best streets for groceries. Likewise, a restaurant is generally just around the corner, for example along Alliance Center Drive, and there are also about 20 coffee shops in this neighborhood. Concerning education, there are only a limited number of primary schools in North Buckhead and for this reason they can be a long walk away. Furthermore, this part of Atlanta does not contain any high schools.

Traveling on foot is quite feasible for residents in North Buckhead; meeting daily needs is easy, and there are also a good number of businesses nearby. This part of Atlanta is very car friendly. Parking is generally easy. In contrast, public transit users may have limited choices in North Buckhead by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there is Buckhead Station with access to the Red Line. House owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not especially far from most properties.
