There is a reasonably good selection of green spaces in North East Lake. It is easy to access green spaces from the majority of locations in the neighborhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover. Due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city remains relatively serene.
The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of North East Lake is an important part of its character. This neighborhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 60% of the population of this neighborhood rent their home and 40% are owners. A majority of the housing growth in this area happened pre-1960.
It is frequently feasible for house buyers in this part of the city to do their grocery shopping by walking. Residents benefit from a few restaurants and cafes as well. With regards to education, in this part of Birmingham, property buyers will often be able to reach primary schools on foot. However, North East Lake does not contain any high schools.
Getting around by car is very easy in this part of Birmingham. Most real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Interstate 59, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, public transit riders may have few choices in North East Lake as a result of the low service level. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. Walking is not very feasible for property owners in this neighborhood because very few daily errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle.
