North Lake is a neighborhood within Charlotte, North Carolina.
North Lake offers a wide variety of green spaces to enjoy. There are a few parks close by for residents to check out, such as Long Creek Greenway and Dixon Branch Greenway, and they are very well-distributed, making them easy to get to from most locations within the neighborhood. This part of the city is relatively serene, due to the presence of very few pedestrians.
In North Lake, roughly half of the dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings. This area has a good choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly 55% of the population of this neighborhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. Most of the housing growth in this neighborhood has occurred since the year 2000.
North Lake does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Regarding food, some house buyers in this area may be able to reach the closest grocery store on foot, while others will need a vehicle. There are also a few choices for those who value restaurants and cafes within walking distance.
North Lake is very car friendly. Many homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, such as Interstate 485, and it is very easy to come across a place to park. On the other hand, North Lake is not very convenient for walking as very few daily needs can be met without the use of a car.
