The neighborhood of Northern Woods is located within the city of Columbus, Ohio.

Northern Woods is a fairly good neighborhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. This area is reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor - although there are still several louder sections, especially closer to Jack Nicklaus Freeway. Finally, public green spaces, such as Cooper Park, are very well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, which makes it easy to access them from many locations within the neighborhood.

In Northern Woods, roughly one third of the dwellings are small apartment buildings, and the rest of the properties are mainly large apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses. This part of Columbus experienced its latest housing boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Around two thirds of the population of this neighborhood rent their home and one third are owners.

A supermarket is generally accessible within a reasonably short walk from most houses for sale in Northern Woods. There are also a limited number of choices for those who care about restaurants and cafes in close proximity.
