Lastly, noise can sometimes be an issue in this area, since traffic can occasionally be loud during busy hours.

In Old Gordon, most of the dwellings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighborhood experienced its main housing boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this era. This part of Atlanta is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Renters occupy around 85% of the dwellings in the neighborhood and 15% are occupied by owners.
