Park Ridge is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. Parks are sometimes difficult to reach since they aren't well-distributed. Still, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to unwind in.
Most of the housing growth in Park Ridge has happened since the year 2000. In this neighborhood, the majority of the dwellings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. The proportions of renters and home owners are about even. This area also has a good variety of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
Park Ridge does not contain any high schools or primary schools. With regards to food, it is easy to access the closest grocery store on foot from most houses for sale in this area. There are also a limited number of choices for those who value close by restaurants and cafes.
Driving is very often the best transportation option in this part of Jacksonville. It is very easy to park, and many houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway. However, this part of the city is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. Park Ridge is not very conducive to traveling on foot as very few daily needs can be carried out without the use of a car.
