Piedmont, Portland

The neighborhood of Piedmont is located in the city of Portland, Oregon.

People who prefer a slower-paced ambience will enjoy Piedmont. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, such as Farragut Park and Peninsula Park, and they are especially well-located, making them easy to get to. This neighborhood is also fairly good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor - although that is not the case near Pacific Highway or the railway line.

Roughly 60% of the units in the neighborhood are occupied by home owners and 40% are rented. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing many of buildings in this area, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this neighborhood occurred prior to the 1960s. This part of the city has a good selection of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

The closest grocery store in Piedmont is generally only a short walk away. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and home buyers are served by a few cafes as well. Concerning education, both primary and secondary schools are convenient to access on foot from most houses for sale in Piedmont.

This part of Portland is reasonably conducive to walking; many daily needs are easy to carry out on foot. The public transit network in Piedmont is not especially accessible. Thankfully, the neighborhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly nearby. However, this neighborhood is a very convenient part of Portland for moving around by car. It is a very short drive to the closest highway, such as Pacific Highway, from any location in Piedmont, and finding a parking spot is generally easy.
