This part of the city is good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to check out, including Lazelle Woods Park, and they are especially well-spread out, which results in them being easy to reach from most locations in Polaris South.

In Polaris South, around 40% of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This part of Columbus offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Roughly 60% of the population of this neighborhood rent their home whereas owners make up the remainder.
