Prospect is a city located in the Louisville metropolitan area, which is part of Kentucky, United States.
Prospect is reasonably quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier sections, especially close to Gene Snyder Freeway or Interstate 71. Parks are spread out sparsely, making it very hard to reach them from most locations in this part of the Louisville metropolitan area. Despite that, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, such as Charlestown State Park.
In Prospect, the vast majority of buildings are single detached homes, and the rest of the houses are mainly townhouses. This city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About 95% of the population of this city own their home while the rest are renters. About 40% of properties in this part of the Louisville metropolitan area were built since the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.
