The neighborhood of River North is located in the city of Chicago, Illinois.

River North offers a variety of experiences for those who enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and spending time outdoors. There are a very large number of energetic parts in this neighborhood to discover. The streets are usually busy with people, there is an extensive selection of entertainment venues, and with its about 30 nightlife venues, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located around the corner. Main streets, including Hubbard Street, are great for those who enjoy going out. Although this part of the city is not home to any parks, public green spaces are very well-spread out in nearby neighborhoods, making them easy to get to.

The predominance of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of River North is an important part of its character. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. River North is an extremely pleasant part of Chicago for getting around by public transit as a consequence of 2 rapid transit stations (Merchandise Mart Station and Grand Station) with access to the Brown Line, Red Line and Purple Line, and a few nearby bus lines. In contrast, driving is a somewhat poor transportation option in this neighborhood. Nonetheless, nearby highways are very easy to access from anywhere in River North.
