This part of the city is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets tend to be peaceful - however noise can be problematic closer to Southfield Freeway. Lastly, the majority of locations within the neighborhood have good access to public green spaces, including Stoepel Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out.

Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing almost all of the dwellings in Rosedale Park, and the remaining properties are mainly townhouses. A majority of the housing growth in this neighborhood took place prior to the 1960s. This neighborhood has quite a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly three quarters of the properties in the neighborhood are occupied by home owners while the remainder are rented.
