Rosemoor, Chicago

Rosemoor is a neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois.

The character of Rosemoor is exemplified by its slower-paced environment. Public green spaces, such as Gately Stadium Park and Abbott Park, are especially well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, making it easy to reach them. This area is also reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case around one of the railway lines or Calumet Expressway.

A majority of the housing growth in Rosemoor happened before the 1960s. In this area, about three quarters of buildings are single detached homes, and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 70% of the properties in the neighborhood are occupied by home owners and 30% are rented. This neighborhood has a choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Locals will value that no matter where their home is located in Rosemoor, both primary and secondary schools are close by. Residents have the option of public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level. Regarding food, it is especially easy to reach the nearest supermarket by walking from most homes for sale in Rosemoor. Moreover, a restaurant is often just around the corner, for example along St Lawrence Avenue, and there are also a few coffee shops in this area. It is also a reasonably short walk to a decent choice of clothing stores.

No matter the means of transportation, it is straightforward to travel in this part of the city. Walking is quite practical for house buyers in this neighborhood; running common errands is convenient. Rosemoor has a reasonably good public transit system. More specifically, train stations, such as the 103rd St (Rosemoor) Station and 95th St Station on the Metra Electric District Line, are not very far-removed from most homes in the neighborhood. Home owners benefit from about 10 bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Commuting by car is also very easy in Rosemoor. Coming across a parking spot is generally easy, and many homes for sale are a short drive from the closest highway.
