Public green spaces, such as Gately Stadium Park and Abbott Park, are especially well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, making it easy to reach them. This area is also reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case around one of the railway lines or Calumet Expressway.

A majority of the housing growth in Rosemoor happened before the 1960s. In this area, about three quarters of buildings are single detached homes, and small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 70% of the properties in the neighborhood are occupied by home owners and 30% are rented. This neighborhood has a choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Walking is quite practical for house buyers in this neighborhood; running common errands is convenient. Rosemoor has a reasonably good public transit system. More specifically, train stations, such as the 103rd St (Rosemoor) Station and 95th St Station on the Metra Electric District Line, are not very far-removed from most homes in the neighborhood.
