This area is fairly good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are usually peaceful - however noise can be an issue close to Southwest Freeway or US Highway 59. Lastly, it is easy to reach parks from most locations in the neighborhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to enjoy.

Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing the majority of buildings in Sharpstown, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. This neighborhood has quite a good variety of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
