This area is quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially around one of the railway lines. Finally, a lot of locations in the neighborhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, like South Atlanta Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in.

Roughly 80% of the properties in the neighborhood are occupied by renters while the remainder are occupied by owners. About 45% of the dwellings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in this area, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. Most homes in this neighborhood were constructed since the year 2000, during its main housing boom. This part of the city has a variety of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

It is especially convenient to get to the nearest grocery store on foot in this neighborhood in this area.
