Sunland, Los Angeles

Sunland is a neighborhood in Los Angeles, California.

Sunland offers a calm ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of the city is quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor - although that is not the case near Foothill Freeway. Lastly, there are around 10 green spaces nearby for residents to discover, including Sunland Park and Fond Wilderness Preserve, which results in them being easy to access from many locations in Sunland.

The housing stock of Sunland is composed predominantly of single detached homes and townhouses. This neighborhood has a good variety of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the dwellings in the neighborhood are occupied by home owners and one third are rented. This neighborhood experienced its most significant housing boom prior to the 1960s, so most of the available properties are from this time period.

Locals will value that wherever their property is located in Sunland, primary schools are close by. However, it can be difficult to access high schools as a pedestrian. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. As far as food is concerned, it is frequently feasible for house buyers in Sunland to do grocery shopping by walking. A limited variety of restaurants and cafes is available as well.

Sunland is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and the majority of homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Foothill Freeway. However, traveling by public transit is very hard in this area. Thankfully, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and most residences are near a bus stop. It is impractical for pedestrians to move around in Sunland since running daily errands is inconvenient by walking.
