A vehicle is often needed in Sunnyside to access the nearest supermarket. With respect to education, in this part of Wichita, residents will commonly be able to access high schools by walking. However, Sunnyside does not have any primary schools.
This part of Wichita is especially car friendly. It is a very short drive to the closest highway, such as Interstate 135, from anywhere in Sunnyside, and it is very easy to find a parking spot. On the other hand, this part of the city is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically nearby. Walking in this part of the cityis not very common, even though meeting daily needs is convenient on foot.
