It is a reasonably short walk to access both primary and secondary schools from most properties for sale in Westchester. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. Regarding eating, the nearest supermarket in Westchester is usually only a rather short walk away. 87th Street is among the best streets for food stores. Additionally, this part of the city is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat, for example on Manchester Avenue, and there are also around 30 coffee shops in this neighborhood.

Physically active people will enjoy the reasonably pedestrian-friendly character of this part of the city; many daily errands can be run without needing to use a car. The public transit network in Westchester is not very convenient. Nonetheless, house owners benefit from the LAX via FlyAway on the LAX FlyAway Bus. Residents have access to about 20 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. On the other hand, driving is a very good transportation option in Westchester. Many properties for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Glenn M Anderson Freeway, and it is very convenient to park.
