Winchester, Columbus

The neighborhood of Winchester is situated within the city of Columbus, Ohio.

Winchester offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy. Although this area is not home to any public green spaces, parks are very well-spread out in nearby neighborhoods, making it easy to reach them. Finally, since there are very few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city remains relatively quiet.

The average year of construction for properties in Winchester is 1998. In this area, around one third of buildings are large apartment buildings, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses. Renters occupy roughly 80% of the units in the neighborhood whereas owners occupy the remainder. This neighborhood also has a choice of unit sizes; it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

It is a rather short walk to get to high schools from anywhere in this part of the city. However, there are no primary schools in this area. With respect to food, it is often an option for house buyers in Winchester to shop for their groceries by walking. Residents of Winchester benefit from around 10 restaurants as well.

This neighborhood is an extremely good part of Columbus for moving around by car. It is very easy to park, and many real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Jack Nicklaus Freeway. In contrast, the public transit network in Winchester is not very practical. Nevertheless, the neighborhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not especially far from most houses. Walking is not very convenient for home buyers in Winchester as very few daily needs can be met on foot.
