The neighborhood of Wolf Lake is situated within the city of Chicago, Illinois.

People who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Wolf Lake. Most areas in this part of the city are reasonably quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although there are still several noisier areas, especially closer to one of the railway lines. Lastly, there are a few parks close by for residents to check out, like William W Powers State Recreation Area and Eggers Woods Forest Preserve, which results in them being very easy to access from numerous locations within the neighborhood.

Roughly three quarters of buildings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Wolf Lake, while the remainder are mainly duplexes and mobile homes. This neighborhood has quite a good choice of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Home owners occupy around 80% of the dwellings in the neighborhood and 20% are rented. This part of Chicago did not experience a single housing boom; the construction of new homes in Wolf Lake is spread throughout several decades in recent history.

Wolf Lake does not contain any high schools or primary schools. When it comes to eating, a portion of property owners in this part of the city may be able to do their grocery shopping by walking, while others will have to use another means of transportation.
